DE HELE NIEUWE FREAK FREAK XL BOREMASTER KIT IN ZWARTE NITRIDE ROESTVAST STAAL.
De officiële freak inserts hebben geen introductie nodig. Ze staan al jaren aan de top van de barrelwereld en stellen gebruikers in staat hun barrels op maat te maken voor hun paintballmaten. In een samenwerking tussen Infamous en GOG hebben we een volledige XL insert kit van roestvrij staal ontwikkeld met een zwarte nitride behandeling!
Niet alleen zwart om cosmetische redenen, de unieke zwarte tint van de Infamous® Freak® inzetstukken is ontworpen voor verhoogde duurzaamheid en prestaties.
Infamous® editie Freak® inzetstukken zijn superieur aan standaard roestvrijstalen inzetstukken vanwege het case-hardingsproces dat wordt gebruikt om de slijtvastheid, corrosiebestendigheid en smering van de inzetstukken te verhogen. In tegenstelling tot anodiseren of galvaniseren beïnvloedt het nitrideproces de toleranties of het gewicht van het inzetstuk niet en zal het nooit afbladderen of loslaten.
Het proces dat wordt gebruikt op de Infamous® inzetstukken is een nitrocarburiserende hardingsbehandeling, bekend als quench polish quench nitriding, of onder de merknamen QPQ®, Tufftride®, Tenifer® of Melonite®.
De oppervlakte-eigenschappen van deze behandeling verhogen de oppervlaktehardheid met wel 300% ten opzichte van het basismateriaal van roestvrij staal. Bovendien krijgt het roestvrijstalen basismateriaal zijn karakteristieke zwarte kleur.
Vanwege de aard van QPQ-nitreren zal er een lichte variatie zijn in het vermogen van de laser om door te dringen en de kleur van het ijzernitride-oppervlak te bleken. Laseren verwijdert of vermindert de oppervlaktebehandeling niet, het verandert alleen de kleur van het oxide zelf.
De kleurvariatie is niet het resultaat van laagdikte, of laservermogen/-functie.
De kleurvariatie ontstaat door de uitlijning van de ijzerdeeltjes in het materiaaloppervlak. Deeltjes in het oppervlak die van de laserbron af zijn gericht, zullen minder van kleur zijn gebleekt dan andere deeltjes die parallel aan de laserbron zijn.
De resulterende variatie zal een oppervlakkleur opleveren die varieert van zilver tot goudkleurig, en dit is te verwachten bij het laseren van een materiaal met deze hardheid & chemische samenstelling.
Wat is zwarte nitride?
Blacknitride+™, of Ferritisch Nitrocarbureren, is het thermochemische proces waarbij tegelijkertijd stikstof en koolstof in het oppervlak van ferrometalen worden gediffundeerd. Tijdens het proces wordt een tweedelige oppervlaktelaag gevormd, een buitenste ijzernitride laag met daaronder een stikstofdiffusielaag. Stikstof en koolstof worden geabsorbeerd door en gediffundeerd in het oppervlak van het metaal. Reproduceerbare en uniforme lagen met een vooraf bepaalde dikte worden gevormd op alle delen van het metaal. Dit proces resulteert in aanzienlijk verbeterde oppervlakte-eigenschappen van ferrometalen onderdelen, terwijl de dimensionale en vormstabiliteit behouden blijft.
