Toen Brendan en zijn bruid de kapel verlieten voor hun huwelijksreis naar het slachthuis, in een Dodge Station Wagon uit 1979 met blikken dozen die achter de bumper rinkelden, was de consensus duidelijk: elke gast op de bruiloft VOND de reis van Righteous Felon naar Teriyaki geweldig. Zelfs de bruidsmeisjes die elkaar onthoofdden tijdens het boeketgooien maakten vrede--dit was een bijzondere jerky.

Na enkele kleine aanpassingen aan het recept werd "Teriyaki Balboa" geboren. Een smaakbom, Teriyaki Balboa is de koning van de jerky-ring. Met een linkerhaak van peper en een body-jab van tamari-saus, zal deze prijsvechter de wedstrijd nooit opgeven, hoe hoog de omkoping ook is. Als het gaat om deze met sesam doordrenkte, zwaargewicht jerky, gaan de handschoenen uit en wordt de kampioensriem omgedaan, met een umami uppercut om de dag te winnen. Teriyaki Balboa: dit smaakvolle eiwitpakket zet de concurrentie op de knieën.
